Our favourite locations include the North Saskatchewan River Valley trail system, Rundle Park at golden hour, and Elk Island National Park (about 45 minutes east of the city, and absolutely worth the drive). For couples who love urban warmth, Old Strathcona and the Whyte Avenue area photograph beautifully. If you're open to mountains, Canmore, Banff, and Jasper are breathtaking and a weekend trip makes the whole thing feel like a little adventure. You don't have to choose a famous landmark; some of our most treasured sessions have happened at the spot where you got engaged, or the trail you walk every Sunday morning.
