If you’re looking for a unique Edmonton wedding venue that doesn’t feel like a standard banquet hall, Bison Lodge is worth a serious look. The historic venue has a warmth and character that’s genuinely hard to find. Exposed wood, cozy proportions, and a setting in Edmonton’s river valley that makes for breathtaking outdoor portraits. It’s close to downtown, easy for guests to get to, and the views from the property are stunning in every season.
For couples who want a venue that already has a soul, this place delivers without needing layers of décor to make it feel special. That said, Paige leaned in hard and the results were incredible.

Paige is a creator at heart. Nearly everything you see in these photos the signage, the tablescapes, the small decorative touches, was either thrifted, handmade, or sourced from independent Etsy makers. The result is a wedding that feels intentional down to the last candle holder, without looking like it came from a catalogue.
Paired with a non-traditional wedding day timeline that gave the day room to breathe. Just Paige and Dave, completely present, surrounded by the people they love most.
What made this day?
What we love most about Paige and Dave is how much joy they carry. There’s no forced moment in this entire gallery. The laughter during the ceremony, the speeches, the dance floor, all of it was real. That’s what documentary wedding photography is built for: following the day as it actually unfolds and trusting that the story will tell itself.
