Before we share the list of the Best Wedding Photo locations in Edmonton, as wedding photographers, we want to discuss what we look for when scouting locations for weddings.
How do you choose your wedding photo location in Edmonton?
Depending on your wedding day timeline, wedding photos happen between Noon & 5.30 PM. If your wedding is in Summer, it is usually when the light is the harshest and it gets very hot. So your location for photos plays an important role so you don’t feel exhausted and at the same time look best in wedding photos.
Here is a list of things to look for when choosing a location.
- Shade: Shade is very important for the photos. This helps you from the heat and also reduces shadows in the face.
- Parking: On your wedding day, there will be more than 1 car ( That includes your wedding photographers and videographers) You don’t want to waste time looking for the parking.
- How long of a walk it is from the parking lot? Walking less is more on your wedding day. Walking long distances in your wedding attire is harder than you think it will be.
- Backdrop & Environment: It is important that we as photographers can use the location to photograph from different angles and it is versatile. Most importantly, it will be nice if the place is a little secluded unless it is the city vibe we are going for.
Alternatively, you can ask your wedding photographer for versatile photo locations.
